About this model

A light fist shield for duelists and nimble heroes, just 35 cm across. The shallow steel dish ends in a rolled brass rim, and a brass ring plus a circle of twelve rivets surround the center. In the middle sits a large steel boss on a riveted brass flange, crowned by a small brass sun with ten rounded rays. Behind the boss a steel bar with a leather wrap forms the fist grip, tucked inside the hollow so it never touches the ground. The buckler lies flat on its rim with the front facing up, just like the Round Shield from the Cozy Adventure Kit, which is a much larger wooden plank shield. Rotate it upright to put it in a hand. Size 0.35 x 0.35 x 0.09 m, 13,920 triangles, 2K PBR textures, a single static mesh without moving parts.

Good for

  • Off-hand item for a duelist or rogue
  • Starter shield in an RPG shop
  • Wall decoration in a fencing hall
  • Loot drop in a cozy dungeon

Engine import notes

Unity GLB · FBX

Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.

Unreal Engine FBX

Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.09 m = 9 cm).

Godot 4 GLB · FBX

Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).

Blender BLEND · GLB

Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.

Use it in: UnityUnrealGodotBlender
