Kit Builder: build 3D scenes from free CC0 models

Pick models from the Grab3D library, place them on a grid or freely, stack them and export the whole scene as one GLB, right in your browser.

Pick a model in the library, then click the ground to place it.

How to build a scene

  1. Pick a model in the library. Filter by kit, category or quality tier, or search by name.
  2. Click the ground to place it, or drag it from the library into the scene. Hold Shift while clicking to place several copies.
  3. Drag models to move them. They snap to the grid and land on top of other models. Switch snapping off (G) to place them freely.
  4. Rotate with R (90°) or Shift+R (15°), scale with + and −, or use the gizmo (W move · E rotate · T scale) for precise changes.
  5. Export the scene as GLB for Unity, Godot, Unreal or Blender, save a high-resolution PNG, or copy a share link.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Kit Builder free?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no account, no watermark and no usage limit. Every model in the library is CC0, so the scenes you build are free to use as well.

Can I use exported scenes in a commercial game?

Yes. All models are CC0 (public domain), so the exported GLB can be used in personal and commercial projects without attribution in Unity, Godot, Unreal, Blender or any tool that reads glTF.

What happened to the Playground?

The Playground is now part of the Kit Builder. Switch grid snapping off to place models freely. PNG screenshots and share links work here too, along with undo, stacking and the gizmo.

Is my scene saved?

The Kit Builder saves your scene automatically in this browser (local storage) and offers to continue next time. A share link contains the whole scene, so you can send it or bookmark it. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

Why is the exported GLB larger than the models I loaded?

The builder loads compressed web previews. The export writes plain, uncompressed geometry and textures so every engine can open it without extra decoders. For final production quality, download the full files from each model page.

Why are some models marked “heavy”?

High Detail models have a lot of geometry and 4K-class textures. They work in the Kit Builder, but on phones and older laptops a scene with many of them can become slow. Lightweight models are the better choice for large layouts.
