Turntable Renderer: turn any 3D model into a spinning GIF or video

Pick a model from the Grab3D library or drop your own GLB, set light, background and camera, and export a frame-exact loop as MP4, WebM, GIF or PNG sequence. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Pick a model in the library or drop your own .glb or .gltf file onto the preview. Your file stays on your device.
  2. Choose a preset or set the look yourself: lighting, background colour, gradient or transparency, shadow and camera angle.
  3. Set the motion: a full 360° spin or a gentle wobble, direction, duration and frame rate. Rigged characters walk or run while they turn.
  4. Pick the aspect ratio and size, choose MP4, WebM, GIF or PNG sequence and press Render. Every frame is rendered one by one at full quality.

Which format for what?

MP4 (H.264)
Smallest files and best quality for social media, Steam and portfolio sites. No transparency.
WebM (VP9)
For web pages and overlays. With a transparent background the alpha channel is kept.
GIF
Plays everywhere, also where videos do not autoplay (itch.io, forums, READMEs). Up to 256 colours with an adaptive palette per clip.
PNG sequence (ZIP)
Lossless single frames with alpha for video editors, game engines and sprite tools.

Presets for common uses

One click sets aspect ratio, size, format and timing. You can change everything afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Turntable Renderer free?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no account, no watermark and no usage limit. All library models are CC0, so your renders of them are free to use as well.

Is my own model uploaded anywhere?

No. Your file is read locally by your browser and never leaves your device. GLB and glTF are supported, including Draco, Meshopt and KTX2 compression. For a .gltf with a separate .bin and textures, select all files together.

Which format should I use?

MP4 for social media, Steam and portfolios, WebM for web pages and transparent overlays, GIF where videos do not play (itch.io pages, forums, READMEs) and the PNG sequence when you want to edit the frames in a video tool or engine.

Can I export with a transparent background?

Yes. Choose Transparent as background and export WebM (VP9 with alpha channel), PNG sequence or GIF. GIF only knows fully transparent or fully opaque pixels, so soft edges get a hard outline. MP4 cannot store transparency.

Why does rendering take longer than the clip itself?

The tool does not record the screen. It renders every frame one by one at the exact time and full resolution, so the result never drops frames, even on a slow laptop. A 1080p clip with many frames can take a while. You can cancel at any time.

Do animated characters move while they turn?

Yes. Rigged library models play their walk or run cycle during the spin. With Seamless loop switched on, the animation speed is adjusted slightly so that whole cycles fit into the clip and the loop has no jump.

How do I keep GIF files small?

GIF is an old format and grows quickly. A smaller size (480 px), 20 fps, a shorter clip, fewer colours and ordered dithering help the most. The tool only stores the pixels that change between frames. If the platform plays video, MP4 is usually ten times smaller.

Which browsers are supported?

All current desktop and mobile browsers with WebGL 2. MP4 and WebM use the WebCodecs video encoder of the browser. If it is missing, the tool tells you and GIF and PNG sequence still work.
