Pivot Point
The point an object is positioned, rotated and scaled around: its local origin.
Every object has a pivot, or origin: the point that lands on the coordinates you enter in the engine and around which rotation and scaling happen. A badly placed pivot leads to floating props, doors that spin around their middle and extra wrapper objects just to fix placement. The usual convention for game assets is the center of the base, so an object placed at height zero stands on the ground. Every Grab3D model has its pivot at the base center and uses real-world scale in meters. On models with moving parts, those parts are separate objects with their own sensible pivots: the treasure chest's lid hinges at its rear edge, the police car's wheels turn on their axles and the trebuchet's arm rotates around its axle. That way you can animate them in the engine without a rig.
