About this model
This counterweight trebuchet rolls on four spoked wheels and is built from two tones of wood held together by grey iron bands. It is shown cocked: the long throwing arm is pulled down at the back, a round stone rests in the sling inside the wooden trough, and the box counterweight, filled with rocks, hangs raised at the front. A yellow pennant and golden finials on the posts add a friendly, toy-like note. The key parts are separate objects with sensible pivots: rotate the arm around its axle to throw, let the counterweight and sling follow as children of the arm, hide the pull rope on release and spin the wheels while it moves. That gives you a full firing animation without a rig. Part of the Cozy Medieval Kit and ready for real-time use in strategy games. Tip: let the counterweight swing out a little after the shot.
