About this model
A proper storybook half-timbered house: dark brown sill beams, studs, rails and diagonal braces form a lively pattern over light cream plaster, including rows of St Andrew's crosses below the windows. The upper floor juts out over the ground floor on both eaves sides, carried by chunky beam ends, and a steep coral tile roof with a chimney tops the gable. White-framed windows with small flower boxes line both storeys, and a mint-green front door sits beside a wall lantern. Every timber is real geometry rather than a painted texture, so the frame catches light and shadow nicely. The interior is closed and there are no signs. From the Cozy Houses & Village Kit, a good neighbour for the stone house and the village gate. Tip: use a low sun from the side to bring out the depth of the beams.
