About this model

A monument from the dawn of cities. This ziggurat 3d model follows the great stepped tower of Ur at real scale, with a lowest terrace of 64 x 46 m and a total height of about 29 m. Three terraces of peach mudbrick slope gently inward and carry vertical pilasters, rows of small drainage slots and pale coping bands. The famous triple stairway climbs the front: a central flight straight up and two side flights along the facade meet at a gate building, from where narrower flights lead to the top. There a plain hall with stepped crenellations, a sky blue glazed band and a wooden door crowns the structure, purely architectural and free of symbols. A paved forecourt with lawn strips, trees and bushes completes the scene. In the Cozy Buildings Kit it adds ancient Mesopotamia, a broad stepped mass unlike the slim Obelisk. Size 88 x 90 x 28.8 m, 19,124 triangles.
