About this model
At first glance it is an ordinary oak treasure chest with gold bands, gold corner caps and four round feet. Then you notice the big cartoon eyes and pink cheeks on the lid, the rows of round, blunt teeth and the pink tongue flopping over the front edge of a red velvet mouth. The look is friendly rather than scary, so the mimic suits family games and cozy dungeon crawlers as well as classic RPGs. The lid is a separate object hinged at the back: tilt it shut for a disguised chest, or open it wider for a snapping attack, perfect for a quick idle or bite animation in your engine. Tip: place it next to an ordinary treasure chest and the treasure pile from the Cozy Fantasy Dungeon Kit, and let players discover which one is hungry.
Good for
- Surprise enemy in a dungeon crawler
- Trap among loot in a fantasy RPG
- Funny mascot for a cozy game
- Lid-snapping idle animation

Unity GLB · FBX
Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.
Unreal Engine FBX
Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.87 m = 87 cm).
Godot 4 GLB · FBX
Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).
Blender BLEND · GLB
Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.
