Put one of these on a strip of sand and you have a vacation. The trunk curves gently to one side and is wrapped in soft rings that alternate between warm orange-brown tones, giving it the typical segmented look. At the top, ten feathered fronds with zigzag edges droop outward in two greens, and a few coconuts hide in the shade beneath them. The fronds are modeled as solid, slightly thick leaves rather than transparent cards, so they cast a clean, star-shaped shadow on the ground. It is ideal for beaches, tropical islands, oases, resort hotels and pirate coves. Tip: rotate each palm so the trunks lean in slightly different directions, as if shaped by the sea wind, and the shoreline will look far more convincing.
Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.
Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (5.09 m = 509 cm).
Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).
Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.
