About this model
An opuntia that instantly says desert garden. Twelve flat, oval pads in leaf green to sage grow on top of each other, each one a thick, rounded paddle that branches from the rim of the pad below. Small light tufts mark the areoles in a regular diamond pattern on both sides, soft and round instead of long sharp spines, which fits the friendly cozy look. Four flowers in sunny yellow with peach centers open on the upper rims, and seven pear shaped fruits in coral and pink stand right next to them. The plant grows out of a low cream sand mound with a smaller drift beside it. It stands 1.19 m tall on a footprint of 0.96 x 0.77 m and is built from 14,752 triangles, textured with 2K PBR maps. Compared with the tall, ribbed Saguaro Cactus and the Potted Cactus, this one is all about stacked paddle shapes and colorful fruit.
Good for
- Desert town in a western RPG
- Mexican themed garden or plaza
- Fruit harvesting in a farming game
- Dry canyon level decoration

Engine import notes
Unity GLB · FBX
Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.
Unreal Engine FBX
Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (1.19 m = 119 cm).
Godot 4 GLB · FBX
Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).
Blender BLEND · GLB
Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.
