About this model

A clockwork model of the heavens for a study or a wizard's tower. This orrery 3D model stands on a dark wooden plinth with a brass inlay ring. A large spoked brass gear lies on top, a middle gear sits on the column and a small pinion meshes with it. The brass column ends in a polished brass sun, and six arms at stepped heights carry enamel planets on posts: Mercury, Venus, Earth with a small Moon on a side arm, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn with a brass ring. Every arm is its own object with its origin on the column axis, so it turns freely without touching the others. It brings warm metal into the Cozy Space Kit, while the Solar System model there is a white classroom plate and the Desk Globe of the Cozy Curiosities Kit shows only Earth. Arms sweep 60 cm, the model is 45 cm high with 18,892 triangles.
