Vertex Colors
Color stored directly on mesh vertices, with no texture files needed.
Instead of wrapping an image texture around a model, vertex colors store an RGB value on each vertex of the mesh. The result: one material, no texture files, no UV seams, and very easy recoloring. The trade-off is that color detail can never be finer than the geometry. That suits flat-shaded low poly art, but not detailed surfaces. Grab3D library models use textures instead (PBR maps, or a small palette texture for low poly models). Vertex colors appear in our browser tools, for example as an export option in Draw to 3D. To recolor a textured library model, use the Recolor Studio.
