About this model
Few insects are as instantly eye-catching as the blue morpho, and this one shows off its wings fully spread. The upper sides glow in an intense electric blue with a lighter sheen toward the center, crossed by fine dark veins, while broad black-brown borders carry rows of small white spots along the edges. The slim body is dark with a hint of blue, topped by two thin clubbed antennae. The butterfly is modeled at its natural size, just a few centimeters across, so it drops realistically onto a flower, a leaf or a rainforest scene. The finely painted wing texture makes it an ideal subject for macro renders, nature cinematics and close-ups, and a base for your own LODs. Tip: separate the wings along the body and add a gentle flap in your engine, or use a metallic tint for extra iridescence.
