About this model
This old cradle 3d model is a swinging crib from another century, left behind in a dusty nursery. Two turned posts on foot beams and a turned stretcher form the weathered wooden frame. Between them the basket hangs on brass pins, its spindle sides painted in faded mint grey and its arched head and foot boards in dusty lavender with a brass crescent moon inlay. One spindle is missing and another is broken in two. Inside lie a stained mattress, a pillow and a yellowed blanket. The whole cradle stands slightly crooked and the basket rests a little tilted, as if someone had just rocked it. Cobwebs stretch between post and stretcher and from post to basket. You can rock the basket in an animation, because it is its own node pivoting on the pin axis. It is 1.03 m long and 95 cm high with 13,168 triangles.
