About this model
The clarinet lies on its side with the tone holes turned up towards the viewer. The dark ebony body is divided into bell, lower joint, upper joint and barrel, each joint marked by a silver tenon ring. Silver ring keys sit over dark tone holes, joined by rods, posts, key cups, trill keys and pinky levers, and a thumb rest sticks out underneath. At the top, a black mouthpiece carries a cane reed held by a silver ligature. The model is a single object without text, simplified enough to stay light but detailed enough to recognise the key work in a close-up. Place it on a music stand shelf, in an open case, on a school desk or in the hands of a jazz musician. With the flute and saxophone from the same kit it rounds out a woodwind section.
