Size comparison
About this model
A heavy duty spool for power plants, warehouses and building sites. The two steel flanges are 1.5 m across, painted teal and stiffened by eight radial ribs each, with a rolled rim, rim bolts and a bolted hub. Between them sits a thick dark power cable in clearly visible windings. The drum rests on a steel axle with collars inside a yellow payout stand made of two A frames on foot rails with small warning stripes. A loose cable end drops from the bottom of the reel, curls across the floor and ends in a chunky yellow industrial plug. The drum is a separate node called cable-spool_drum with its origin on the axle, so it can unroll cable in an animation. Compared with the wooden Cable Reel from the construction set, this industrial cable spool 3d model is all steel and ready for a factory floor. It measures 1.72 x 1.96 x 1.63 m and has 19,716 triangles.
