About this model
Dump trucks and wheel loaders need somewhere to tip their load, and this hopper 3d model is exactly that. The square steel bin is 2.4 m wide at the top, with a straight upper section and a pyramid bottom that funnels into an outlet with a flat slide gate and a yellow handwheel. A teal rim frame holds sturdy grizzly bars over a lumpy gravel fill, and a vibrator motor on one slope keeps the material moving. Four teal legs with a ring beam and cross bracing on three sides leave the front open for a conveyor, and the front legs wear yellow and dark warning stripes. At the back a maintenance walkway with grating, yellow railing and a ladder gives access to the top. It works well as the first step of a mining or recycling chain. The hopper stands 4.2 m tall and has 8,772 triangles.
