About this model
The two lungs stand side by side under a ringed trachea that rises to the cartilage of the larynx. The right lung is broader and split into three lobes by clear fissures, while the left lung is narrower with two lobes and the curved notch where the heart would sit. The surface is a soft, healthy pink with a fine mottled pattern and thin purple vessels branching across it, and the cream-coloured trachea shows each cartilage ring. The realistic yet clean look suits pulmonology lessons, anti-smoking campaigns, asthma and breathing apps as well as medical explainers. The level of detail is aimed at cinematic shots and still images, with room to derive simpler LODs from it. Tip: animate a gentle scale pulse on both lungs to visualise breathing in a looping clip.
