About this model

This model lays out the bones of a human hand flat, as if on a lecture table. The short, cut ends of the radius and ulna lead into the compact cluster of carpal bones at the wrist, followed by the long metacarpals and the jointed phalanges of the fingers and thumb. Pale ivory bone with subtle surface texture and slightly lighter joint caps keeps each segment clearly separated, which helps when you point out individual bones. The realistic finish suits anatomy apps, physiotherapy explainers, medical illustrations and museum displays, and the finely sculpted detail rewards close camera work and can be decimated into your own LODs. It also works as an eerie find in a horror scene or an excavation. Tip: use a top-down camera with soft, even light when labelling the bones.

Good for

  • Anatomy app with labelled bones
  • Physiotherapy or orthopedics explainer
  • Medical illustration or poster render
  • Horror or excavation scene prop

Engine import notes

Unity GLB · FBX

Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.

Unreal Engine FBX

Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.02 m = 2 cm).

Godot 4 GLB · FBX

Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).

Blender BLEND · GLB

Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.

Use it in: UnityUnrealGodotBlender
