About this model
The straight backbone of the modular street system: a two-lane city road with a dashed white center line, solid edge lines, granite curbs and wide sidewalks of square concrete slabs on both sides. The asphalt carries subtle wheel tracks, patches and staining, and the sidewalks show gentle wear, so long streets never feel sterile. Every texture and marking repeats over the length of the tile, meaning copies placed end to end produce one continuous street with an unbroken dash rhythm. Carriageway and sidewalks are perfectly flat without crossfall, and the pivot sits on the road surface, which makes combining it with the curve, junction, crosswalk and dead end tiles a matter of snapping. It is the piece you will use most in the Urban Street Kit. Tip: set your snapping grid to the tile length and lay out a whole district in minutes.
