About this model
A classic curbside gully in European style, the kind that swallows rainwater along every gutter. The heavy cast iron grate has long slots running in the direction of the curb, and its top is polished bright by traffic while the sides stay dark and rusty. Below the frame, a square concrete shaft drops into the ground, and at its bottom lies a layer of sludge and leaves next to an outlet pipe, so you never look through the slots into empty space. The pivot sits on the road surface with the top of the grate at ground level and everything else below it. Cut a square hole into your road mesh, drop the drain in and it lines up flush. Small details like this make a street feel lived in, and the drain from the Urban Street Kit is also a natural hiding spot for a lost key.
