About this model

The humpback whale swims forward with its enormous pectoral flippers stretched wide, the longest of any whale and the feature that makes the species instantly recognizable. The back and head are a deep blue-black, the throat and belly a pale grey-white, and the flippers and tail flukes carry white edges that pop against dark water. All of it is rebuilt as broad flat-shaded facets, giving the huge animal a calm, sculptural look. The model uses real-world scale, so it towers over boats and divers placed next to it, while the compact mesh and tiny palette texture keep it ready for real-time use. Tip: move it slowly along a wide arc and let a single breach animation be the highlight of an ocean level.
