About this model

Few animals match the sheer presence of a humpback. This one swims with a gentle arch through its long body, one enormous pectoral flipper angled down and the broad tail fluke raised behind. The head is covered in the knobbly bumps typical of the species, and the throat shows the long white ventral grooves that expand when it feeds. The skin is a deep blue-black on top, broken up by pale scratches and barnacle-like patches, and fades to white along the belly, the edges of the flukes and the scalloped flippers. The model is scaled to the length of a real adult, so it dwarfs boats, divers and dolphins correctly. It works best in renders, deep-sea cinematics and close-ups, or as a source for your own LODs. Tip: surround it with a soft blue fog and a few god rays from the surface to convey the vast scale.
