About this model
This orange drum is what lines highway construction zones in the United States and marks every detour in a hurry. The plastic body has molded ribs and a small hand-hold in its lid, and four broad reflective bands alternate orange and white around it. Their fine microprismatic texture sparkles when headlights hit it. A black recycled rubber ring sits on the base as ballast, which keeps the barrel standing in the wind and gives it a slightly wider footprint. Set a line of them diagonally across a lane to close it, or scatter a few toppled ones after a crash for a chaotic chase scene. The barrel shares its colors with the other roadwork pieces of the Urban Street Kit, such as the construction barricade. Give the reflective bands a bit more specular strength in night scenes to make them pop.
