About this model

Two ribbon-like strands, one sky blue and one lavender, twist around each other in smooth right-handed turns, just like the textbook model. Between them run short rungs split into two colours each, pairing coral, mint, yellow and teal segments so the base pairing is easy to explain. The upright helix is tall and slim, with open ends at the top and bottom that make it simple to stack copies into a longer strand. Soft pastel tones and rounded forms give it a friendly, modern look that fits school apps, lab branding and science channels alike. The detailed mesh looks crisp in renders, title sequences and close-ups and can serve as a base for your own LODs. Tip: rotate it slowly around its vertical axis with a subtle rim light for an elegant looping intro.

Good for

  • Genetics lesson or explainer video
  • Looping intro for a science channel
  • Biotech or lab branding render
  • Educational app or quiz icon

Engine import notes

Unity GLB · FBX

Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.

Unreal Engine FBX

Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.30 m = 30 cm).

Godot 4 GLB · FBX

Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).

Blender BLEND · GLB

Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.

Use it in: UnityUnrealGodotBlender
