About this model

A round virus particle in the familiar corona style: a bumpy teal envelope studded with club-shaped coral spike proteins that stand out clearly against the body. One wedge of the shell is cut away, revealing a pale blue inner layer and a coiled, bead-like strand of yellow genetic material inside. The chunky, slightly rubbery look keeps the subject approachable rather than frightening, which works well for vaccine and hygiene campaigns, biology lessons, news graphics and health apps. Seen from the closed side it reads instantly as a virus icon, while the cutaway adds depth for explainers. The finely resolved surface looks convincing in macro renders and is easy to decimate for interactive use. Tip: scatter several copies at different depths in front of a blurred background and rotate them slowly for an eye-catching hero image.

Engine import notes

Unity GLB · FBX

Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.

Unreal Engine FBX

Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.30 m = 30 cm).

Godot 4 GLB · FBX

Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).

Blender BLEND · GLB

Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.

Use it in: UnityUnrealGodotBlender
