About this model

A flat, star-shaped nerve cell laid out like a textbook diagram, easy to read from above. The rounded teal soma sits at one end, with a slightly darker nucleus showing through, and a crown of blue dendrites branches out from it in soft, rounded twigs. From the opposite side the axon runs away as a long stem wrapped in beige myelin segments, with the small gaps between them marking the nodes of Ranvier. At the far end it splits into a bouquet of fine branches capped with coral synaptic terminals. The playful clay look keeps complex neuroscience friendly for students, science channels and mental health apps. The sculpt carries enough detail for poster-size renders and works as a high-poly source for normal map baking. Tip: animate a glowing pulse travelling along the axon to illustrate a nerve signal.

Good for

  • Neuroscience or psychology lesson
  • Animated nerve signal explainer
  • Mental health or brain app visual
  • Science channel thumbnail render

Engine import notes

Unity GLB · FBX

Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.

Unreal Engine FBX

Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.03 m = 3 cm).

Godot 4 GLB · FBX

Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).

Blender BLEND · GLB

Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.

Use it in: UnityUnrealGodotBlender
