About this model
A working turnbuckle 3d model that shows how the part actually tightens a line. The forged style open body is painted blue, and inside its frame you can see both threads: right hand on the jaw side, left hand on the hook side, each a true helix. On the left a jaw end straddles a yellow pad eye and is held by a pin with head and nut. On the right an open hook passes through the second pad eye and bears on the edge of the hole. Lock nuts sit against both hubs. The body is a separate rotor with its origin on the thread axis, so turning it about X tightens or loosens the connection in an animation. Everything stands on a mint base plate with four corner screws. Size 27.6 x 7.2 x 6.4 cm, 14,564 triangles, 2K PBR textures.
