About this model
A detailed jet engine 3d model built like the cutaway engines in aviation schools. The blue nacelle and the aluminium core are opened along the upper front quarter with all cut faces in red, so the whole gas path is visible at a glance. Air passes the spinner and 20 wide chord fan blades, then splits at the core. Inside the core follow a three stage booster, a five stage high pressure compressor with stator rows, an annular copper combustor with fuel nozzles and four brass turbine stages in front of the exhaust cone. The engine rests in two yellow saddles on a stand frame without logos. All rotating blades and the shaft form one rotor object that spins around the engine axis. The Passenger Airplane and the Private Jet show complete aircraft, this model explains the engine itself. Size 3.66 x 2 x 2.2 m, 39,382 triangles, 2K PBR textures.
