Convert GLB to USDZ for AR
USDZ is the format Apple uses for AR Quick Look. The converter writes a USDZ with USD Preview Surface materials and PNG textures, at real size and standing on the floor.

How it works
- Drop a GLB or glTF. Real size matters in AR, so check the dimensions in the info panel.
- Keep the origin at bottom center, so the model stands on the floor in AR.
- Convert and download the USDZ. Open it on an iPhone or iPad to place it in your room.
What is kept and what to watch
- The USDZ is static: skeletons and animations are not included.
- Textures are limited to 2048 pixels per side, which keeps the file light for phones.
- Double sided materials are written single sided.

Frequently asked questions
Does the USDZ work in AR Quick Look?
The file is written with the Quick Look settings of the three.js USDZ exporter, and the converter checks that it opens again. We could not test every iOS version, so try it on your device before you publish it.
Why is my model too big in AR?
AR uses real metres. If the source was made in centimetres, set the source unit before converting.
Are animations supported?
No. The exporter writes static models only. Library models on Grab3D come with a ready USDZ download.
