Convert glTF to GLB online

A glTF often comes as several files: the .gltf JSON, one or more .bin buffers and texture images. The converter combines them into one self contained GLB. Materials, animations, skins and morph targets are kept.

    How it works

    1. Drop the whole folder, a ZIP or all files at once. The .gltf alone is not enough when it references external files.
    2. Missing buffers are named in an error message, missing textures in the checks.
    3. Convert and download the GLB.

What is kept and what to watch

    • Draco and Meshopt compressed files are decoded and written without compression. Use the GLB Optimizer to compress again.
    • Textures are decoded and saved again: JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG, WebP and KTX2 become PNG.
    • Extensions three.js does not know are dropped. Common material extensions such as clearcoat, transmission and sheen are kept.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between glTF and GLB?

Both are the same format. glTF stores the scene as JSON with separate buffer and image files, GLB puts everything into one binary file. GLB is easier to share and upload.

    Is the conversion lossless?

Geometry, node hierarchy, materials and animations are kept. Textures are saved again from the decoded images, so JPEG textures go through one more compression step.

Can I convert GLB to glTF too?

Yes. Choose glTF as output. You get a ZIP with the .gltf, a .bin file and the textures as separate images.
