Polycount

The number of polygons (usually triangles) in a 3D model.

Polycount measures geometric complexity and is one of the key performance metrics for real-time 3D. GPUs render triangles, so counts are usually given in "tris". Budgets depend on the platform and on how often an object appears on screen: a background prop on mobile may get a few hundred triangles, while a hero character on PC can use tens of thousands. Assets for close-ups and renders reach hundreds of thousands. On Grab3D, High Detail models typically have around 800,000 triangles in the full download. They are built for renders and close-ups, with a lighter version at roughly half. Lightweight models have a median of about 14,000 triangles. Every model card shows a rounded triangle count, and the model page lists the exact number, plus that of the lighter variant where there is one.
