Why does the moon turn red during an eclipse? This lunar eclipse 3d model answers on one lilac base board. A glowing yellow sun stands on the left, and in the middle sits the earth with a light blue ocean, flat sage green continents and its 23.4 degree axis tilt. Behind the earth reaches the umbra, a translucent dark cone constructed from the outer tangents of both bodies, and inside it hangs the small copper red moon. Two thin yellow rays graze the earth to mark where direct light ends. The sun is emissive, the umbra a separate alpha blended mesh, and nothing moves. Size: 45 cm long, 21 cm high, 10,700 triangles, 2K PBR textures. In the Cozy Science Lab Kit it pairs with the Solar Eclipse Model, whereas Earth and Moon shows an orbit instead of a shadow.
Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.
Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.21 m = 21 cm).
Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).
Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.
