About this model
This newtons cradle 3D model is the office toy that explains momentum without a word. A lilac base with soft edges holds two steel frames shaped like an upside down U, each one set in small sleeves. Five polished steel balls hang in a row, every ball on two dark threads in a V shape that run from a tiny eyelet on the ball to clamp sleeves on the frames. All ten threads visibly start at a ball and end at a frame. Each ball with its eyelet and threads is a separate object named ball_1 to ball_5, with the origin on the suspension axis, so a simple rotation about the Y axis lets it swing. That makes the classic click click animation easy to set up. The base and frames use baked PBR textures. Unlike the Old Cradle for babies, this piece is pure physics. It measures 24 by 14 cm, stands 21 cm tall and has 13,356 triangles.
