About this model
A friendly take on early gunpowder artillery. The iron barrel is wrapped in gold bands, with a gold muzzle ring and a ball-shaped knob at the back, and it rests on a carriage of two curved oak cheeks held together by transoms, iron straps and trunnion caps. Two large spoked wheels with iron rims flank it, and the trail rests on the ground behind, with an elevation wedge tucked under the breech. Beside the cannon, a wooden frame holds a neat pyramid of stone cannonballs, and a rammer lies next to it. The barrel is a separate object pivoting on its trunnions, so you can raise and lower it, and both wheels turn around their hubs. It is part of the Cozy Medieval Kit. Tip: add a puff of smoke and a small recoil backwards when it fires.
