This connecting rod 3d model shows the part the way a mechanic lays it out on the bench. The forged steel rod has an I-beam shank with pockets on both faces, a small end with a brass bushing for a 22 mm piston pin and a split big end for a 50 mm crank pin. The bearing cap lies pulled off in front of the rod, and two M10 rod bolts with real helical threads sit in its bores and reach across the gap. Copper bearing shells line both halves of the big end. A hollow piston pin lies next to it. Everything rests flat on the plate. The Engine Piston from the car parts kit shows piston and rod assembled, here the rod is opened up to explain its parts. No moving parts. Size 24.8 x 14.4 x 3.4 cm, 8,152 triangles, 2K PBR textures.
Import the GLB with the glTFast package or use the FBX. 1 m in the file = 1 Unity unit.
Use the FBX. The model is built in metres. Unreal works in centimetres and converts on import, so it arrives at real size (0.03 m = 3 cm).
Drag the GLB into the FileSystem dock. Godot 4 imports it directly, with materials. The FBX works too (Godot 4.3+ imports it natively).
Open the .blend directly, or import the GLB via File › Import › glTF 2.0.
